Editorial Standards & Code of Conduct

Global Agenda International is an independent media organisation. Our journalism is guided by the IPSO Editors' Code of Practice (UK), the IFJ Global Charter of Ethics for Journalists, the Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics (US), and the Council of Europe Recommendation CM/Rec(2018)1 on media pluralism.

1. Accuracy

We verify before we publish. Facts are sourced to named, on-the-record interviews, public records, primary documents, or at minimum two independent sources where anonymity is granted in the public interest. Numerical claims are checked against the original dataset.

2. Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers, sponsors, investors and political actors. Sponsored content is clearly labelled "PAID" or "PARTNER CONTENT" and is produced outside the newsroom.

3. Fairness & Right of Reply

Subjects of critical reporting are contacted in advance and given a reasonable opportunity to respond. Responses are reflected in the published piece.

4. Corrections

Errors are corrected promptly, transparently and with a dated note at the foot of the article. Significant corrections are also reissued in our newsletter. Send corrections to corrections@globalagenda.online.

5. Use of AI

AI tools may be used for translation, transcription, research, image search and draft assistance. Every published item is reviewed and signed off by a human editor. AI-generated imagery is disclosed. No article is published solely by AI without human editorial responsibility, in line with the EU AI Act (Art. 50) and the Reporters Without Borders Paris Charter on AI in Journalism.

6. Conflicts of Interest

Staff declare financial holdings and outside engagements. Reporters do not cover subjects in which they have a personal or financial interest.

7. Sources & Whistleblowers

We protect confidential sources to the fullest extent permitted by law and operate a secure tip line. Whistleblowers in the EU are additionally protected under Directive 2019/1937.

8. Diversity & Hate Speech

We report on race, gender, religion, sexuality, disability and migration status with care and only when relevant. We do not publish content that incites violence or discrimination, in line with Art. 20 ICCPR and the EU Code of Conduct on Countering Illegal Hate Speech Online.

9. Children & Vulnerable Persons

Minors and victims of violence are not identified without compelling public interest and appropriate consent.

10. Complaints

11. Digital Services Act
