The United Nations is in its most consequential decade since the Cold War's end. Eighty years after the San Francisco Charter, the institution faces simultaneous pressure from the rise of the Global South, the fracture of the P5, the parallel BRICS architecture, the operational collapse of legacy peacekeeping in the Sahel, and the arrival of a digital and AI-driven information order that no 1945 drafter could have foreseen. Across ten reported investigations, UN 2.0 maps where reform is realistic, where it is rhetorical, and where the next world order is already being built — outside the General Assembly hall.
